Research and DevelopmentTheme Parks have always played a huge role in my life, I chose my BA(Hons) purely because someone once told me it would give me the best shot in chasing my dreams. Deciding on what ‘storyline’ to implement into my ‘theme park’ proved a struggle at first. I was trying to balance too many things within a preexisting property so whilst listening to Vivaldi's four seasons I decided to scale back my ideas and focus on the wheel of the year. I researched multiple different folklore traditions and stories that followed the wheel of the year and began to flesh out a new story that could be intertwined with tradition but provide a base of my wider story. I was listening to The Oh Hellos wind quartet, four different eps surrounding the four greek gods of the wind. I felt although each selection of songs naturally fell into a season and upon further research discovered that each god did represent a season. From there the characters of the eight guardians formed, and eventually the conflict of the mixed seasons and missing balance keeper followed.
