‘Whats in my bag?: The Jocelyn Herbert Archives’We were tasked with creating an ambigous piece inspired by what my group and I had seen at the National Theatre Archives. I had the initial idea of the group creating one item from winnies bag, the idea of creating a what's in my bag film with winnie from ‘Happy Days’ in a mound then developed.The mound was developed into a piece created with postcards, similar to the ones we had seen in the Archive. Each letter was hand written with jokes that would later be seen when the set and film were exhibited. Each member of the group was assigned with creating an item in Winnies bag, I hand embroidered a hankerchief taking inspiration from paintings Jocelyn Herbert had created.
